A part-time Masters Level Therapist position is available in the Berwick office. This position will transition to full-time. Masters Level Therapist qualifications include: • Graduate degree in psychology, social work, nursing, education, rehabilitation, or related degrees in human services • Two (2) years experience in the CASSP system The goal of the program is to provide intensive therapy to teach and train parents to cope with their child’s mental health disorder, while reducing the need for out of home placements. Therapeutic interventions will be used to build positive coping skills that will enable family members to better care for their child or adolescent. These are families that need more intensive services than traditional BHRS services, but less intensive services than traditional family based mental health services. Services are a combination of team and individual delivered therapy based on the needs of the family. New Story is committed to providing the families with the resources and skills to grow as a family unit. Each team receives extensive training, as well as two hours per week of supervision with the “Extra Mile for Families” Director. Members of the treatment team will be responsible for providing individual and team delivered therapy in home and school settings.
