    Jon Bicknell, CFO, smiles at the camera

    Jonathan Bicknell is Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for New Story. He joined the company in 2021 as the company’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and his experience spans 25+ years across consulting, financial and healthcare sectors. He brings a deep bench of expertise to the company having spent the last decade working with private equity owned portfolio companies and as part of executive management teams. Most notably, he was the CFO of Versant Health Inc., a billion-dollar vision insurance company, served as CFO for inVentiv Health (now Syneos Health), and as an Assurance Partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers. He received an undergraduate degree from Middlebury College and a graduate degree and an MBA from Northeastern University. Jon is focused on the company's operational agility and ensuring New Story helps children and young adult with serious and complex challenges live a good life.

    Amie Carter, CIO

    Amie Carter currently serves as Chief Growth and Strategy Officer at New Story. Amie is responsible for overseeing the Information Technology Department, the Business Development and Community Relations Department, the Marketing and Communications Department, and the Project Management Office (PMO) of New Story. Amie joined the organization in 2021, originally as Chief Information Officer. Before joining our company, Amie worked for Optum Technology, a United Health Group (“UHG”) company, leading IT operations and strategy, responsible for large scale national technology implementations. Before Optum, Amie was at MedExpress, one of the largest National Urgent Care providers, where she led the IT department and PMO. Prior to that, Amie was at UMPC serving as the CIO of their Behavioral Health Hospital, Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic. Amie holds a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a master’s degree in Healthcare and IT Administration from the University of Pittsburgh and is a Certified Project Management Professional.

    Gregg Haddad

    Gregg Haddad is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for New Story. In this role, he leads financial operations and strategy to ensure New Story’s portfolio of companies have the resources they need to operate at their full potential in serving students and their families.

    Gregg’s experience spans a range of finance and operating functions with large public as well as private companies in the health care, financial services, and technology markets. Before joining New Story, Gregg was the Chief Strategy Officer for Aetna’s Government Services business at CVS Health. Prior, he served as CFO for Avalon Healthcare, a private equity-backed health IT and value-based services business, growing the startup to a sizable enterprise. Previously, as a senior financial officer of WellCare Health Plans, he led a number of profitable acquisitions delivering several billion dollars in revenues as well as the company’s first public bond offering. His other work experience includes stock research, growth equity investing, and executive operating roles at GE. Gregg is a CPA and has an MBA from The University of Chicago and BBA from The University of Michigan.

    Olena Maleckyj Headshot

    Olena Maleckyj is New Story’s Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO), driving the company’s people strategies, including company culture, talent acquisition, management and development, and benefits and compensation programs. She also has oversight for state and local HR teams, who are focused on recruiting and developing top talent. Olena joins us with over 35 years in human resource and operations experience. Prior to joining New Story, Olena served as Head of Human Resources for a national alcoholic beverage retailer, spanning 27 states and 10,000+ employees. Over her career, Olena has held several positions with increasing responsibility including Vice President of Labor Relations and Human Resources at CVS Health, where she led HR teams aimed at build high-functioning and sustainable organizations. building a world-class team through continued enhancements in culture, talent, and development.
